Quick3DCloset Guide: How to Use Quick3DCloset from Scratch: Basic Features

Learn to use Quick3DCloset from scratch, understanding the basic functions to create architecture, add furniture, and configure views.
1. Create the Architecture
Architecture is the foundation of the project. Here you define the space where you will work.

✔️ It allows you to create personalized spaces.
✔️ Ideal for custom projects

2. Architecture Tab
In this section, you manage the shape of the room and the structure of the space.

⚙️ Key functionality
- Quick3DCloset only allows one room layout.
- To create multiple rooms:
👉 Use the Add Partition Wall tool
⚠️ Important
If you already have a closed room and you use “Draw room”:
- The program will ask if you want to restart the design
3. Furnishing Tab
Here you can add and modify all the furniture elements in the project.

Add Closet

✔️ Insert a previously saved one

4. Texts and Shapes Tab
Here you’ll find the tools to add, edit, or move annotations in the drawing.

- Add text
- Insert arrows

- Client presentations

5. View Tab
The View tab lets you configure the project view and select display modes.

View 2D
✔️ Plan view of the project
✔️ It shows the grid and the floor
✔️ It is the default design option
✔️ It allows for more precise furniture placement


View 3D
✔️ Displays the 3D workspace
✔️ It helps you better understand volumes and proportions
✔️ Ideal for checking the final result
✔️ Typical functions:
- Rotate view
- Zoom (zoom in/zoom out)
- Movement through the space
Floor plan
✔️ Plan view of the project
✔️ It does not show a grid or floor
✔️ Designed to represent the layout on a technical plane

💡 Usage tips
✔️ You can switch to preset 3D views (Front, Right, Left and Back)
✔️ It is possible to create a 3D view manually using the Change 3D view option
✔️ Quick3DCloset allows you to Save the current view and Open a previously saved view
✔️ You can also hide architectural elements in the scene using ON / OFF objects
6. Photo Tab
This tab lets you configure render settings.

Options
✔️ You can select different finishes for accessories, and architectural elements
✔️ If you’ve inserted a SketchUp block, it will show the materials already assigned in the imported model
✔️ With Show photos and Show panoramas, you can access the render and 360º panorama history from other projects.
Lights
The Lights command opens a popup window where you can turn lights On or Off, enable or disable Shadows, adjust light and shadow intensity.
To move the lights, click the cross icon in the top right corner.


Photo
The Photo command lets you set photo size, image quality and floor and wall reflections.
Hardware acceleration is available for nVidia GTX 1050 or higher graphics cards.
7. Help Tab
The Help tab gives you access to online resources: tutorials, learning videos, and FAQs.

8. Recommended workflow
💡 To work efficiently:
- Create the architecture (template or manual)
- Adjust the structure from the Architecture tab
- Add furniture
- Add notes if necessary
- Set up views for review or presentation

✔️ Define the architecture clearly before adding furniture
✔️ Use partitions wall to divide spaces
✔️ Add annotations to improve communication
✔️ Switch between 2D and 3D frequently for greater accuracy
✔️ Use 3D to detect errors that are not visible in the floor plan
