Windows® 11 error message: “Windows Security – Part of this app has been blocked”

If your operating system is Windows® 11 and the Quick3DPlan or Quick3DCloset program won’t start, doesn’t launch, or used to work but suddenly stopped, check the following settings as they may be the cause of the problem.

It is likely that when launching Quick3DPlan or Quick3DCloset in Windows® 11, the programs may not start, even if the ‘Recommended requirements‘ are met and all the ‘Possible reasons why Quick3DPlan or Quick3DCloset are not working‘ have been checked and are correct.

When entering the Email and Password, ‘nothing may happen’ (the programs don’t open and no message is displayed), and in some cases an error message similar to this may appear:

Windows Security
Part of this app has been blocked
Some features of C:\Quick3DPlan DS\Q3DPDS.exe may not work because we can’t confirm who published 3dobj.dll that the app tried to load.

To fix it, follow these steps:

  • Go to ‘Windows® 11 Settings‘ from START → SETTINGS.
  • Go to WINDOWS SECURITY.
  • In the left-hand side menu, go to APP & BROWSER CONTROL.
  • Go to SMART APP CONTROL.
  • Select ‘OFF‘.

Once the ‘Smart App Control‘ option has been turned off, try launching Quick3DPlan or Quick3DCloset again, and the programs should now work correctly.
