Issue when saving and opening projects on the Windows® Desktop caused by having multiple user accounts

✅ Problem description:I have saved projects on my Windows® Desktop, but when I try to open them within the program, the files do not appear‘.

This issue is related to having multiple users on Windows®. It is important to note that the “Desktop” of the ‘Administrator’ user is not the same as the “Desktop” of another user on the same computer.

To avoid file management issues, you should not work from the Windows® “Desktop” and instead save files directly in any folder within the “Local Disk (C:)”.

By default, our programs include a “Docs” folder inside the installation directory, where projects are saved by default:

  • C:/Quick3Dplan DS/Docs
  • C:/Quick3DCloset/Docs

✅ IMPORTANT: It is recommended to save projects directly in that folder to avoid errors when opening them later, especially if there are multiple user accounts on Windows®.
