How to save the objects inserted in a closet module as a template for use in future Quick3DCloset projects
🎯 Objective
In this tutorial, we will learn how to save the contents of a wardrobe module ‘as a template‘ so they can be automatically inserted into future Quick3DCloset closets.
Save as template
In Quick3DCloset, it is possible to save the contents of a closet module so they can be automatically inserted into future closets. To do this, follow these steps:
- In the closet’s ‘Distribution‘ stage, add all the elements you want to save as a template into a closet module.

✅ (NOTE: Please keep in mind that some objects cannot be saved as templates: Interior doors, Closet accessories, and Decoration items.)
- Select the closet module [1] whose contents you want to save, and click the “Template” button [2]:

- In the new “Save as template” window that appears, enter an ID and a Name for the new template, then click the Accept button.

✅ (NOTE: It is possible to add an image to the template you are saving by selecting the “Image” option. If this option is not selected, the program will automatically generate the image.)
- Finally, the following window will appear indicating that the template has been saved successfully:

Insert the saved template
To insert a previously saved template, follow these steps:
- Proceed to the project stage ‘Auto distribution‘:

- In the left panel, under the “Objects to insert” section, select the template we previously saved, which will appear under the “User” tab:

- Finally, double-click on the module where you want to insert the elements from the saved template:
