Quick3DPlan – Texts, Contours, Arrows and Dimensions

Overview

In this video, we will learn how to insert and configure texts, geometric contours, arrows and dimensions in our designs, controlling position, size, color and thickness.


1. Insert Text

  • Texts and Contours tab → select Add Text
  • A dialog will open to:
    • Enter the desired text
    • Select a background color
    • Configure font size and thickness

Text placement:

  • Move the mouse over the screen to the desired location
  • Click the left mouse button to insert the text

Edit text:

  • Use the Edit tool next to the Add Text tool
  • Or double-click the text that has already been inserted

2. Draw Shapes

  • Draw shape tool
  • Dialog with geometric shapes: rectangles, circles, combinations

Contour configuration:

  • Choose the geometry and adjust the dimensions
  • Fill button to select the interior color
  • Save favorite colors for future use

Insertion:

  • Move the mouse over the screen to the desired location
  • Left-click to insert it

3. Draw Arrows

  • Arrows tool

Segment configuration:

  • Arrow at the start, at the end, at both ends or none
  • Arrow thickness (numeric value)
  • Change arrow color

Insertion:

  • Click to indicate the starting point
  • Drag while holding the mouse button
  • Release at the end point

4. Add Dimensions

  • Dimension tool

Procedure:

  • Click the starting point from which to measure
  • Drag the mouse to the end point
  • Modify the measurement value in the dialog (optional, for rounded numbers)
  • Select the insertion side: right, left or centered

Delete dimensions:

  • Delete Dimension button
  • Select the dimension you want to remove

Note:

These tools allow you to document and customize the elements of your project with precision, adjusting measurements, colors and position so that the design is clear and professional.
