Quick3DPlan – How to Use the “2D Colors” Option

Overview

In this video, we will learn how to change the colors of furniture in a floor plan using the 2D Colors tool, with options for palettes, RGB/HTML input, and custom colors.


1. Accessing the Tool

  • Go to the Projects tab → select 2D Colors
  • A window will open showing all elements of the design and their current colors in the floor plan view
  • To change a color:
    • Click on the color of the element you want to modify

2. Selecting the Color

Available options:

  • Direct selection on the color palette
  • Screen selection using the eyedropper tool
  • Color range selection by moving the cursor along the hue bar
  • Brightness adjustment using the corresponding bar (higher → darker; lower → lighter)
  • Numeric input of RGB or HTML values for precise selection
  • Once chosen, add to custom colors for future reuse

3. Apply Colors to Specific Elements

  • Change the color of upper cabinets using a selected base color and adjusting the tone (darken or lighten)
  • Repeat the process for all design elements until achieving the desired palette
  • Click OK to apply the changes to the 2D plan

4. Additional Options

  • Apply colors checkbox: toggle between line‑only view and colored design
  • Enable/disable floor color as needed

Note:

This tool gives full control over the colors of the furniture, allowing you to achieve a precise and uniform 2D visualization before moving to 3D views or exporting the design.
