Quick3DPlan – How to Insert and Edit Appliances

Overview

This article explains how to insert and configure appliances in Quick3DPlan from the Furnishing tab, both manually and automatically.

1. “Add Appliance” Tool

1.1 Open the Appliance Dialog

• Go to the Furnishing tab
• Click on Add Appliance

1.2 Selection Dialog:

• First column → type of appliance: refrigerator, hood, cooktop, oven, sink, faucet, dishwasher, washing machine, etc.
• Second column → appliance model
• Bottom → width of the selected model
• Thumbnails → click on the image to see options

1.3 Edit Dimensions:

• Click the edit icon → modify width, height, or depth

2. Inserting Appliances

2.1 Manual Insertion

• Click the manual insertion button
• Drag the appliance to the desired position
• Press Space → rotate and adapt to walls
• Left‑click → place the appliance
• The insertion dialog automatically reopens to add more

2.2 Automatic Insertion

• Allows placing the appliance next to a reference unit
• By default → the last inserted element
• Change reference → use the selection button
• Red or blue arrows → position to the left or right of the reference
• Works in both 2D and 3D views

3. Example of Automatic Insertion

• Insert a refrigerator next to the last unit
• Insert a decorative hood above an already placed cooktop
• Select reference and adjust position with red/blue arrows

4. Editing Appliances

4.1 Edit by Double‑Click

• Open the edit dialog directly from the appliance
• Modify dimensions or model

4.2 Edit Using the “Edit” Tool

• Select the appliance
• The edit dialog will open automatically

4.3 Appliances Inside Cabinets

• Example: oven or microwave in a column cabinet
• Double‑click the appliance
• Go to the corresponding tab (Oven or Microwave)
• Select the new model and confirm

This tool allows precise control over the placement and configuration of all appliances in the kitchen or room, both manually and automatically, ensuring they fit perfectly within the layout.
